1- How Do You Start Playing eRepublik?

I began almost exactly 5 years ago. I had left my job in order to stay home and raise a son (so my wife could continue her progress toward her career). Most of the time when a man is doing domestic affairs, he is merely exercising the will of his wife - there is rarely any freedom for self expression. eRepublik gave me an environment where my wife could not control any of my decisions. I guess that's what hobbies are for, ultimately, they become little personal kingdoms wherein the self is sovereign. That is rarely possible irl. So I loved it here and I stuck around even after I returned to full time work.

2- You have been already 2 times president, how they are the 2 months?

Nobody should do it just once. It takes 5 days just to get started, and the last few days are often useless unless you run for re-election. So I recommend that if you are serious about it you consider it a 60 day job at least.
In eUSA the job is pretty intense if you take it seriously. There is ALWAYS someone on IRC waiting to talk about stuff, there is an active forum environment, and the International scene never lets up. I was blessed with a few really dedicated staff members who covered for my primary area of weakness (IRC).
That said , i will definitely add that is was the best two months of my gaming life.

3- How you are like a player?

Lately I have been playing far less. I am out of touch with the political landscape almost completely. I remain active enough so that if I feel the desire to ramp up my activity, I will easily be able. So I train and work and fight and keep up with all of Plato's stupidity.
I am also blessed with two communities which perfectly support my gaming style. My Military Unit (Easy Company) supports me fully even though I have been rarely seen lately. My Political Party (United States Workers Party) has enough talent that they are very successful without my activity.
So for the time being I am satisfied to lay low.
When i am active , i publish a very good newspaper , i tank a lot and i do a ton of new player help

4- What Do You think about eRepublik today ?

It has become a far more myopic gaming environment than the game of 5 years ago. Plato has revised the game slowly over the years to make most of the best "rewards" something that you chase independently. The rewards that remain for doing excellent social-networking type activities are not very good. The good rewards come when you just focus on developing your OWN assets and your OWN character.
The Social aspect of the game has gone bland, not because there are fewer interesting people, but because the game rewards individualistic behaviors rather than social behaviors.
Even when the gamers adapt to changes and find interesting social responses, Plato seems to then foil it with further changes. One example of this is how prior to the revision of the Divisional warfare structure, communities had developed very interesting strategies to help people "rebirth" in the game. This produced teamwork and strong social environments. Then Plato changed the structure and most of the reasons for running such programs was removed.
In many ways the game admins seems to be telegraphing a loss of interest in the game.

5- An advice to the beginners

I have tons of advice, actually, and if you search my newspaper archives you will find a 10-part series on just this topic (It was published back around day 2150 or so).

But I will give just one very important advice here. Find a senior player who is friendly and generous. Make friends. Do whatever he tells you to do. Learn the game from him and then do the same for some other new player.
